Multigrip
rivets:
There
are several different kinds of rivets but you may be asking, what is a rivet? A
rivet is a s short metal pin or boltlike hardware that functions to hold two
pieces of metal together by being pressed into place, usually by a riveter. One
kind of a rivet is a multigrip rivet which does the same thing as a normal
rivet except a multigrip rivet has a wider gripping range than the standard
ones. Why is this useful? When you use a multigrip on a larger hole or one that
is a weird shape, it ensures that the hole is filled. Also, when you use a
multigrip rivet is a stronger connection because it has a higher clamping force
and is vibration resistant. This kind of a rivet is used for heavier duty
projects.
